The Santa Barbara location pairs accommodation with distinctive production design. Twenty sleeping pods create an instant hostel, dormitory, retreat or cast-housing scene, while the mezzanine adds desks and a television room overlooking the lower level.
Each of the three bathrooms uses floor-to-ceiling tile, and two include showers. The kitchenette has a long bar, ice maker, commercial refrigerator and dishwasher. A washer and dryer are inside the unit, and the lobby combines a front desk, lockers, storage and trailing vines around a faux window.
Alternating-tread stairs custom-built from steel and repeated archway doors give the property graphic camera angles. The entire property can also work as an affordable group sleepover or production buyout; discuss overnight use, catering and exclusivity before booking.
